Dua Lipa is a British musician and singer who was born in London United Kingdom on August 22nd 1995. The singer-songwriter signed to Warner Bros Records in 2014 after working as a model. She released her self-titled debut album in 2017. This album reached number 3 in the U.K. Charts, and also released 8 singles. This included Be the one I.D.G.A.F, the U.K. No. 1 Single New Rules as well as the U.K. No. 1 Single New Rules. The album, which has since been certified platinum in a variety of countries around the world was awarded two Brit Awards (in the year of 2018) for British Female Solo Artist, and British Breakthrough artist. Dua Lipa was born in London on August 22 1995 to Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa Rexha and Dukagjin Lipa. Dua Lipa is Bosnian origin via her maternal grandmother. Also, her ancestors come from Peja, which is a Kosovo town Peja. Her grandparents were both historians and professors. Gjin and Rina are her sisters. Lipa was influenced musically by her father who was the lead singer and guitarist of the Kosovan rock band Oda. In her home, Lipa's father played music by David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics The Police Stereophonics. Lipa began singing when she was five years old. At the age of nineteen she was singing in Sylvia Young Theater School. Lipa has performed a cover of Ain't Got You and Beautiful by Christina Aguilera on YouTube. The year 2014 was the year that Lipa signed a record deal with Warner Bros. Records. The first single she released was New Love was released on August 15th, 2015.
